Bohol in particular, is now in the world map because of its tourism sites like the renowned Chocolate Hills, the pristine white beaches in the island of Panglao, its gorgeous native women and being the fastest growing economic hub in the central part of the Philippine archipelago.

Undeniably, however, alongside with the fast economic gains, is the political and social cost attached to progress. Materialism sits in and rises like the head of a Hydra. The creeping moral bankruptcy in government and society need vigilance.
In most cases, many countless citizens seek refuge to the media to protect them where government failed.

Despite the dangerous times that media is threading today (“Philippines ranks No. 2 in extrajudicial killings of journalists” – Amnesty International), this also a good time to ponder for all of us Boholanos and for the whole Filipino nation.

Will we now allow ourselves to be seemingly tolerant in our reactions to wrongdoings? Will we succumb to the fact that at times, we ran head-on against someone so high and powerful, people who can hire publicists to adulterate and hide the truth?

Will we surrender to those who seek to destroy us and the very democratic principles which give us the freedom to speak and write freely?
If we allow it, that would be Democracy’s TRAGEDY!

History tells us that Boholanos hold the record of waging the longest revolution (Francisco “Dagohoy” Sendrijas Revolt) during the Spanish rule some 400 years ago.

I would willingly give up everything just to see Boholanos live their dreams soaring high on the principle that “we would always remain, even as the last bastion standing, to stop felony before it becomes tyranny and let FREEDOM LIVE up to the times when our children follow after us.”

This news and media forum website is hereby offered as tribute to freedom-loving Boholanos and Filipinos!
